Supporting the community

Who we've supported

In the last 12 months, just over 11.5 tonnes of pasta, baby products and tinned food has been distributed to other caring community groups. Here are some of the ways in which we've helped...

Grow Baby Swindon

Providing support and advice to parents along with baby milk, nappies, clothes, toys food and other practical help and equipment. Parent toddler groups and child orientated social activities in a supportive, safe environment for parents and children alike. SFC pass on donations of nappies, baby milk, equipment, baby wipes and other items along with donations of food to help their families.

SBC Emergency Assistance Team & Homeless Outreach

Support workers dealing with emergency housing and accommodation issues, providing support, advice and access to temporary accommodation when appropriate. SFC provide emergency assistance food bags which provide enough food for 48 hours which needs little or no preparation or cooking as many people do not have access to a cooker or microwave.

Youth Justice Service

This service works with young people that get into trouble with the law. Their mission is to work with young people with the aim of helping them stay away from crime. YOT has received 60 emergency food bags for their clients aged under 18 years old who are often living alone and facing a crisis.

Ukrainian Appeals

SFC donates pallets of pasta, sanitary wear and toiletries on a regular basis.

Alternative Angels

A group of volunteers that feed homeless people with hot meals, puddings and snacks – one night every week. SFC provide donations of pasta and large packets of food which are too big for our boxes.

GWH Discharge Team

Assisting people to get support and care for when they are discharged from hospital. SFC provide over 250 Home from Hospital bags a year.
