Congratulations to our volunteer Rosemary who has been awarded with a High Sheriffs Award for service to the Community.
Last week our longest serving volunteer, Rosemarie Schofield, received an award from Lady Fiona Lansdowne, The High Sheriff of Wiltshire & Swindon.
Rosemarie was a founding member & trustee of the original food bank, and continued to volunteer when Swindon Food Collective took over the provision of a food bank in Swindon. Each week, bringing home made cakes for the beneficiaries of our service to enjoy with a warm drink and a friendly chat. Even during COVID operations when only staff & volunteers have been allowed in the St Aldhelms centre, Rosemarie continued to bring cakes for staff and volunteers to enjoy.
Each week she will aways greet people with respect and a warm smile, passing on baking tips and ingredients to willing beneficiaries.
She truly is one of our fabulous volunteers and truly epitomises the spirit of what we do. Swindon Food Collective are extremely proud of and grateful for the contribution Rosemarie has made.
