Congratulations to Alan Butler who recently received a surprise visit from the High Sheriff of Wiltshire, Lady Lansdowne, who presented him with a High Sheriff Award.
For the past 10 years Alan has organised Runvember which has raised funds for Swindon Food Collective, The Harbour Project and Threshold.
Runvember started in 2013 and stemmed from the quest of one man and his running shoes (Alan). Running around in deepest, darkest November, where the weather quite often would drop below freezing and seeing countless people almost freezing to death was quite startling. He initially had the idea of running every day in November to raise money.
Well done Alan - very well deserved. Thank you for all your support over the years.
