Today is National Food Bank Day 2025 - the first Friday in September!
At Swindon Food Collective, we continue to see a growing number of people turning to us for support as food poverty increases. Rising food prices, higher household bills, and the uncertainty of unemployment and redundancy mean that more individuals and families are finding it harder to make ends meet.
Supporting Our Community Through Food Poverty
We provide essential cupboard staples and non-perishable food items such as pasta and tinned meat, as well as everyday household toiletries like toilet rolls and shampoo — helping to ease the pressure during difficult times.
There is no “typical” food bank user. Everyone’s circumstances are different. You may be facing temporary hardship, juggling a mortgage or rent, or raising a family. Whatever your situation, we are here to help.
Did you know?
If you need help, please do not hesitate. Each of us at Swindon Food Collective fully understand that times are tough. Whether you need emergency food, helpful advice, or a friendly chat - please come and see us. Remember first to get a referral from one of our many approving agencies. A full list is here - how to get food.
Once you have your food voucher, we have 11 distribution centres that are here to help operating on various dates and times during the week. Find your closest centre here and look at which times and dates they are open.
Thank you
To all of our Donors and Sponsors: "THANK YOU". We could not do this without your on-going support. If you haven't had chance to support us yet: please see how you can help here.
Best wishes,
Matt, CEO and the whole Swindon Food Collective Team.
